One of highlights of this past year was my first time working with the Crist Family in concert. They did not disappoint! Not only did they sound great, but they were so gracious and wonderful to work with.  It was my honor to sing and emcee at this annual celebration. I also want to thank Mayor Nancy Slaton and the City of Eddyville along with the Lyon County Ministerial Association and Touch of Grace Bookstore in Princeton, KY for their sponsorship. It was also a joy to sing with my Mom and cousin Rick. I can't remember the last time we all sang together. 6 year old Braelynn Johnson sang and did a fantastic job.  Vickie Gray from "Touch of Grace" has a beautiful voice. She sang with my cousin Rick and me and also did a couple of solo selections. All in all, it was a fabulous Founders Day.

Back in the summer, it was my honor to be a part of two trips to Zacatecas, MX. God is working in this region. One trip was devoted to saturating a city with Gospels of John and Romans as well as the plan of salvation. Many of these folks had never seen or read a Bible. Many accepted Christ as Savior and many others have questions and are seeking the Lord. Please pray for these people and that God will continue to raise up leaders, Pastors and evangelical churches in this region of the country.

In early August, it was my privilege to lead worship in music as well as teaching on leadership/event planning for the annual Zacatecas Bible Conference sponsored by the Caldwell/Lyon Baptist Association in Kentucky. Almost 100 men, women and children attended and received training, had a time of refreshing and fellowship and walked away with new materials, ideas and a stronger vision and purpose for their churches and ministry. I believe I actually learned much more from these amazing saints of God than anything I might have taught or sang about. Please pray for these Pastors, leaders, and family members that are ministering against all odds in this "dark heart" of Mexico. The good news is that God can and is beating the odds as people all over this region are becoming excited about the Savior, being born again and telling others about Jesus.
